In the Mercantile Ward is a standing stone of unfathomable age. The stone is covered with weathered, indecipherable runes that have been studied by generations of scholars to no avail. An equally-ancient well is nearby; the well has never in living memory run dry, and legend tells that if it ever does, the city will fall.

The Inn was itself very, very old, built with its arms around the well, as though hugging it and reaching out for the standing stone. Thick stone walls are roofed with terra-cotta tiles. Nobody knows what the building’s original purpose was...
