Legendary Locations - The Humble Chapel

Just outside the village of Staddleford, on the road that winds through the woods on its way to the city, is a little chapel, of weathered gray stone and roofed with red terra-cotta tiles. No windows pierce its walls, and the way inside is barred by a single, heavy oak door. Trees screen the chapel from the road.

Next to it is the rectory, large enough to house several priests but these days inhabited by one kindly old friar, who looks after the place and the souls of the few people who live nearby. 

Adventurers who have been through the area say the friar is happy to tend to wounds for a nominal fee. The rumors also say the old man is far more powerful than he appears to be…
